Hi folks,

After the success of the Poland Wayfarer Challenge last year, we are proud to announce our next initiative: the India Wayfarer Challenge! From 16 March 2021 at 00:00 a.m. IST until 26 March 2021 at 00:00 a.m. IST, eligible Wayfinders in India or those who review Indian Wayspots (via your home/bonus location ) can participate by reviewing Wayspot nominations in the country.

 

 

This collaborative challenge also enables Trainers and Agents to unlock special rewards (for your Wayfarer reviews) in Pokémon GO and Ingress, based on the number of approved Wayspots by the end of the initiative. Trainers Level 38 and higher and Agents Level 10 and above are able to participate.

If you are eligible but have not used Wayfarer before, get started by signing in with the Facebook or Google account linked to your Pokémon GO or Ingress profiles. After you have signed in, check out the Criteria page and take a quick quiz to learn the basics of Niantic Wayfarer, such as nominating and reviewing Wayspots. You can also check out our onboarding video here.

Similar to our Poland Wayfarer Challenge, each game will provide different tiers of rewards awarded during Holi Festival weekend, depending on the number of Wayspots approved during the challenge:

Tier 1 Rewards - 3,000+ New Wayspots approved

• Pokémon GO: Smeargle will appear more often from snapshots!
• Ingress: 20 Resonators and 20 Power Cubes at Agent Level (up to L8).

Tier 2 Rewards - 5,000+ New Wayspots approved

• All rewards from Tier 1 plus,
• Pokémon GO: Receive a chance to catch Shiny Murkrow!
• Ingress: 3 Rare Heat Sink, 3 Rare Multi-Hack, and 3 Rare Link Amp.

Tier 3 Rewards - 8,000+ New Wayspots approved

• All rewards from Tiers 1 and 2 plus,
• Pokémon GO: Receive 2× Catch XP for Pokémon appearing as part of this event.
• Ingress: 1 SoftBank Ultra Link, 1 ITO EN (-), and 1 ITO EN (+)
